We're headed to NYC soon and the baby needs some cute new winter accessories. On the hook is a Brrr baby beanie. I can't believe this is going to be the first hat with earflaps I've ever made! I plan to add a little flower on the side. I'd forgotten how much I love to crochet and the almost instant gratification it provides. The yarn is some mystery yarn that I've had forever. I'm going to make a pair of matching mittens too as the last pair I made is way too small.
I'm still reading and loving Trust the Children
The purple yarn is beautiful and I'm looking forward to seeing the hat with flaps. I have never read the book your mentioning "trust the children", but I love all that the title evokes.
ReplyDeleteI want to try an ear flap hat too!! Good luck!

Hey Lady
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to tell you how happy I am to see you blogging again. I got rid of my old blog this summer and have spent the last 3 months trying to find my voice again. in due time...
I have had this pattern saved for about a year but didn't start working on it until a few weeks ago. Maybe seeing your finished hat will push me to go back and complete it :)
Loving all of the pictures of your beautiful babies...they are growing so fast.
Take care.
Nina (Ki's sis)
Love the purple yarn you chose! So pretty :) I made a hat with ear flaps for the first time this fall to and had to learn all about picking up stitches *grin*. Actually it was pretty easy thank goodness LOL. Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today and I'm going to have to check out the book you mentioned. Sounds very interesting. Enjoy the rest of your week :)
ReplyDeleteI have so much 'mystery yarn' too. All from working in a hand weaving studio so I have a TON of some of it! Fun to hold and dream up projects with it though...
ReplyDelete@appledappleIsn't it a lovely title?
ReplyDelete@The Little House That GrewThanks Lisa!
